R32 is a pure HFC widely specified for new-generation split AC and many heat pumps. Lower GWP than R410A (~675 vs 2088, IPCC AR4); ASHRAE A2L. Use only in R32-rated equipment with correct charge limits.
R410A is a near-azeotropic HFC blend (R32/R125) common in split AC, VRF/VRV and heat pumps designed for higher operating pressures. A1, ODP 0. Service gear must be R410A-rated.
R134a is a pure HFC for automotive AC (many legacy platforms), medium-temperature commercial refrigeration and chillers. A1, ODP 0, GWP ~1430 (AR4).
No. Match OEM specification, pressures, oil and safety class. Retrofit only with qualified HVAC/R practice. Do not mix refrigerants in one circuit.
Zeotropic blends (e.g. R407C) show a saturation-temperature span at constant pressure during phase change. That affects liquid charging and leak behaviour. Pure fluids do not show meaningful glide.
ASHRAE groups: A1 lower toxicity/no flame propagation in standard tests; A2L mildly flammable low burning velocity (e.g. R32); A3 higher flammability (e.g. hydrocarbons). Charge limits must match the class.
ODP measures ozone impact vs CFC-11; ACC HFC lines have ODP 0. GWP compares heat trapping to CO₂ (often 100-year IPCC AR4 on ACC pages).
Packaging & cylinders
Refrigerants are typically supplied in pressure cylinders sized for HVAC/R trade. Net fill, valve type and packaging options depend on the gas line and current supply — ACC confirms exact packaging on the quote.
Store cylinders upright and secured against falling, in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat, direct sun and ignition sources. Keep valve protection in place when not connected, keep labels readable, and follow the SDS plus site rules for pressure vessels. Extra controls apply for A2L/A3 fluids. This FAQ is not a warehouse design guide — appoint a competent person for site layout.
Many refrigerants are classified as dangerous goods (often Class 2 gases; some are flammable). Transport rules such as ADR (road), and where applicable IMDG/IATA, affect packaging, labelling, documentation and which carriers can accept the load. That is why refrigerant logistics differ from ordinary parcels and why lead times and costs reflect DG booking — not a simple courier shipment.

Still pressure vessels — do not mix residuals of different refrigerants; never vent to atmosphere; follow recovery and return rules stated for your packaging type. Ask ACC about deposit / return terms when quoting refillable cylinders.
Confirm refrigerant designation, net mass, hazard pictograms, readable labels and undamaged valves. Do not use cylinders with unknown contents or illegible markings. Isolate suspect containers and contact ACC or a competent recovery channel — do not identify gases by smell or pressure alone.
Both refillable and non-refillable packaging exist depending on product and market. Commercial terms (deposit, return logistics, residual gas) are stated on the quote or order confirmation. Never refill a non-refillable cylinder.
