R410A Refrigerant
Near-azeotropic HFC blend for residential and commercial air conditioning, VRF/VRV and heat pumps.
About this refrigerant
R410A is a near-azeotropic blend of R32 and R125 (50 / 50 wt%). It delivers higher operating pressures and strong capacity compared with older HCFC-22 systems and became the default refrigerant for many split AC, VRF/VRV and heat-pump platforms.
ASHRAE class A1, ODP 0. Equipment must be rated for R410A pressures; POE lubricants are standard. GWP is 2088 (IPCC AR4), so newer designs increasingly specify lower-GWP alternatives such as R32 or A2L blends — while large installed bases still require R410A for service.
Applications
Split air conditioning
Wall, ducted and cassette splits engineered for R410A high-pressure circuits.
VRF / VRV systems
Multi-split variable refrigerant flow platforms specified with R410A.
Heat pumps
Air-to-air and light commercial heat pumps designed around R410A.
