SDS / MSDS
The Safety Data Sheet (SDS, historically MSDS) is the primary hazard-communication document for a chemical product. It covers identification, hazards, composition, first aid, fire-fighting, accidental release, handling, exposure controls, physical/chemical properties, stability, toxicology, ecology, disposal, transport and regulatory information.
Warehouses, carriers and site HSE teams request SDS by product code before receiving cylinders. ACC’s Documents centre routes SDS requests for the five active HFC lines.
TDS — technical data
A Technical Data Sheet (TDS) summarises application-oriented properties: typical uses, pressure-temperature behaviour highlights, oil family notes, safety class and GWP/ODP figures used in engineering comparisons.
Buyers attach TDS pages to design packages and tender annexes when evaluators need property evidence without opening a full SDS. Keep the ASHRAE/ISO code consistent across SDS, TDS and purchase order.
CoA — batch quality
A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) reports measured batch results — often purity, moisture, acidity, non-condensable gas and residue — against agreed specifications. Not every shipment requires a CoA; critical process or pharmaceutical-adjacent sites may demand one.
When requesting CoA, state the product code, batch or cylinder identifiers if known, and the parameter list your quality plan requires. ACC coordinates document release through the Documents workflow.
How documents fit purchasing
A typical B2B pack pairs the purchase order (code, quantity, cylinder size) with SDS for HSE, TDS for engineering and optional CoA for QA. Missing one file can stall goods receipt even when cylinders are ready.
